International Event Rider William Fox-Pitt Hosts Evening

International event rider William Fox-Pitt, winner of the 2007 Burghley Horse Trials, will be sharing his training secrets in a special lecture demonstration evening at Hadlow College, Tonbridge, Kent on November 24th.

Heart of Kent HospiceThe evening will help raise funds for the Heart of Kent Hospice and is the idea of Louise Barr, whose mother, the late Prue Filmer, was a patient there.

Prue was a former event rider and trainer whose successes included starting Lincoln - an advanced event horse she sold to Captain Mark Phillips - on his career.

"The hospice staff were fantastic to Mum and the family," said Louise. "This is our way of saying thank you – I wanted to do something that Mum would have enjoyed herself."

The evening will also include a warm up dressage performance to music by a local Kent pony club West Kent Meopham at 7.00pm.

Visitors will also have the chance to prepare any advanced Christmas shopping with craft stalls and equine specialists exhibiting on the evening.

Advance tickets for the demonstration, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £20 for adults and £15 for children. For more information, contact the Heart of Kent Hospice on 01622 790195.

The gates will be open from 6.30pm. Tickets on the door will cost £25 per adult and £15 for children.
